8-hour Infection Control Certification course (board approved)
Price: $450
Location: Walnut Creek
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates for this course should have experience working in a dental office and be familiar with terminology and equipment
CLASS OUTLINE:
Orientation Session - 1hr (ONLINE - LIVE), usually the Tuesday evening before class
Lecture & Exam - 4hrs (ONLINE - SELF STUDY)
Clinical Day: 9am-12pm (IN- PERSON)

32-hour Radiation Safety Certification course (board approved)
Price: $675
Location: Walnut Creek
Time: 9am-5pm (2 days, held over 2 weekends)
REQUIREMENTS:
8hr Infection Control certification - dental board approved
Basic Life Support certification - must be obtained by an approved provider, see details below
Access to a dental office to take required FMXs on live patients
Candidates for this course should have experience working in a dental office and be familiar with terminology and equipment
CLASS OUTLINE:
Orientation Session - 1.5hrs (ONLINE - LIVE), usually the Tuesday evening before Day 1 of class
Lecture & Exams - 5hrs (ONLINE - SELF STUDY)
Clinical Day 1: 9am-5pm (IN- PERSON)
3 FMXs on DXTTR mannequin
Mounting Exercise
Quizzes
Homework (in between Day 1 & Day 2): Complete 3 FMXs in your own office and bring copies to Day 2 of class

REQUIRED PREREQUISITE CERTIFICATES as of January 1, 2025:
CA Dental Board approved 8hr Infection Control certification
We recommend Santa Clara County Dental Society
Current and valid Basic Life Support certification (must be obtained by an approved provider, see details below)
For BLS/CPR: must be through the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, the American Safety and Health Institute, the American Dental Association’s Continuing Education Provider Recognition (CERP) program, or the Academy of General Dentistry’s Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE).
You must provide copies of your Infection Control & BLS/CPR certifications prior to taking this class as they are required for patient care. This is per the new requirements of the Dental Board of California (see senate bill 1453). Please direct any questions regarding this new requirement to the Dental Board.

Coronal Polishing Certification Course (board approved)
Price: $550
Location: San Ramon
Time: 8am - 5pm (patients are required for the afternoon portion, 12:30-5:00pm)
REQUIREMENTS:
8hr Infection Control certification - dental board approved

Access to a dental office to take required FMXs on live patients
Candidates for this course should have experience working in a dental office and be familiar with terminology and equipment
You will be required tobring 2 of your own patients for the clinical portion that meet the following criteria (we cannot provide patients for you):
has had a cleaning in the past 6 months / no supragingival calculus
has all adult dentition
cannot be missing more than 1 tooth per quadrant
You will be required to bring your own slow speed hand piece
If you do not have your own, you can rent one from us for a $75 fee
CLASS OUTLINE:

RDA Written Examination Prep Course - Self Study

All materials will be provided online, including a recording of a previously recorded live seminar

The course includes 2 years of AHA BLS CPR certification + 3 CE units (Category I)

Toothfairy Systems does not currently offer the 8hr Infection Control certificate.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The following applies to any cancellations or reschedules
Up to 2 weeks prior to class - full refund
Within 2 weeks prior to class - 50% refund for cancellations (if we are able to fill your spot in class, we’ll issue a full refund) OR $175 fee for rescheduling to a future date.
Please note: this is for first time only, we will not reschedule or refund students that cancel multiple times last minute.
No show day of class - no refund
Failure to provide prerequisite certificates (Infection Control & BLS) - no refund
It is acknowledged at registration that you must provide board-approved 8hr Infection Control & BLS certificates in a timely manner. If these pre-requisites are not met we will have to drop you from class and if it’s too late to fill your spot you may be dropped without a refund.
